While both coaching and counselling help people grow and move forward, they serve different purposes and offer different kinds of support.
Counselling focuses on emotional well-being. It provides a safe space to explore feelings, understand patterns, process past experiences, and navigate challenges such as anxiety, grief, relationship issues, or major life transitions. Counselling supports healing, insight, and meaningful change.
Coaching is more future-focused and goal-oriented. It helps you clarify what you want, build a plan to get there, and stay motivated along the way. Coaching doesn’t treat mental health concerns; instead, it’s designed to enhance performance, confidence, and personal or professional development.
Bookends Counselling does not direct bill to insurance providers at this time. You will be provided with a receipt that you can submit to your provider for reimbursement.
